Effective Partnership Working
Supporting YMI Projects
Charanga is routinely used to support a diverse range of projects funded by Creative Scotland’s Youth Music Initiative. Specialist instrumental instructors use our platform extensively to deliver their instrumental programmes and music technology projects. We also offer a fully supported CPD programme to empower class teachers to deliver the initial project themselves. This has proved to be extremely successful and cost-effective.
Supporting Instrumental Instructors
With a growing demand for instrumental lessons due to the funding support available, Music Service partners are increasingly looking to make efficiencies in their provision. The resources and technology we make available to the modern instrumental instructor enable them to teach larger groups of students effectively. Overheads are further reduced using Yumu, our platform’s student-facing learning space, as resources are easily shared with learners at no cost to the instrumental service or pupils. Training and support ensure instructors get the most out of the platform.
Supporting local schools
Charanga has won many awards for its work supporting specialist and generalist classroom music teachers. Bespoke units of work or promotional materials created using our platform's upload and lesson-building tools can also be made available to every school in your area with access to Charanga. Charanga and the RSNO
The Royal Scottish National Orchestra (RSNO) and Charanga are delighted to announce an exciting new global partnership. Over the coming year and beyond, teachers, students and schools using Charanga’s online music teaching and learning platform will be able to access a suite of bespoke educational materials developed by the RSNO and Charanga alongside a range of the RSNO’s most popular digital education resources.
2024 will also see us facilitating live performances in schools across Scotland, and we would love to talk with you about how we can collaborate with your music service and help promote the support you provide to schools throughout the year.
