Exciting new YuStudio® features for aspiring producers and young composers

We have recently added new features and resources to YuStudio®, our cloud-based DAW, to support students’ creativity and music-making in and outside the classroom.

Introducing our new Sampler instrument

Our brand-new Sampler helps develop students’ music production skills. Young composers can now splice, arrange, and process audio to create new sounds.

The Sampler comes with several presets and has three main functions. Users can:

• Import and manipulate audio into the Sampler for use as a pitched instrument.
• Play a sample at higher or lower pitches, up and down a keyboard.
• Combine different samples to create your own drum kit.
• Automatically chop up a loop to create a kit.

We use YuStudio® with our Y9 students. Its new, browser-based Sampler instrument is a real game-changer! Being able to chop up and re-organise beats and phrases is a really good way to inspire creativity in an accessible way.

The creative possibilities are endless and great fun!

Enhance your teaching with new video game-themed clips

YuStudio®‘s Video library now includes five new computer game-themed clips with helpful pointers to get students started.

Users simply drag and drop a clip into the DAW to view it frame-by-frame. Whether creating a high-octane soundtrack to a car racing game or capturing the magic of Hogwarts, these new clips allow students to immerse themselves in composition.

Create with YuStudio® Projects (for Musical School and Music Pro users only)

We’ve also expanded our popular Create With YuStudio® project series for those working with younger children. If you are new to using a DAW in your teaching, these projects are the perfect starting point. Each project includes follow-along video tutorials and a comprehensive teacher’s guide.
